Utopia of the Seas is the sixth ship in Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class and ranks as the second-largest cruise ship in the world, alongside its sister ship, Wonder of the Seas.
The ship features eight distinct neighborhoods, each offering a unique experience: Royal Promenade, The Boardwalk, Entertainment Zone, Pool & Sports Zone, Central Park, Youth Zone, Vitality Spa & Fitness, and the Suite Neighborhood.

Balcony Stateroom Overview
The balcony stateroom on Utopia of the Seas offers a prime location in the heart of the ship, conveniently near the Vitality Spa & Fitness Center, the Boardwalk, bars, eateries, and shops. This stateroom provides a spacious and well-appointed environment, ideal for a comfortable stay.
Inside the cabin, guests will find a long vanity area with drawers and a mini fridge for added convenience. The stateroom features two closets: one with ample hanging space and the other with smaller hanging space, cubbies, and two drawers underneath. The bed can be configured as twin beds or combined into a double bed, providing flexibility based on guest preferences. A flatscreen TV is mounted in front of the bed and can be adjusted to face the cabin’s seating area.
The stateroom’s balcony is accessible through a large sliding glass door. The balcony is furnished with two adjustable lounge chairs with footstools and a small table, perfect for relaxing while enjoying the ocean view.

The AquaTheater Suite on Utopia of the Seas is a spacious and luxurious accommodation option that offers stunning views of the AquaTheater. This suite features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room, and a dining area, making it perfect for families or groups. One of the standout features of the suite is its wraparound balcony, providing guests with an exclusive vantage point to enjoy performances at the AquaTheater, as well as breathtaking ocean views.

Solarium Suite
For a truly luxurious experience, consider booking one of the new Solarium Suites. These suites have floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breathtaking panoramic views. While I didn’t get to see them in person, the photos look amazing.

Utopia of the Seas has a Starbucks on board! You can enjoy all your favorite drinks, including Frappuccinos. Keep in mind that beverages and food at Starbucks are not included in any drink packages, including the Cafe Select Coffee Card.
More About the Cafe Select Coffee Card
While the Coffee Select Card doesn’t work at the Starbucks on board, you can still use it at Cafe Promenade. This cafe serves Starbucks coffee, though the menu is more limited compared to the standalone Starbucks.
The Coffee Select Card gives you 15 punches for specialty espresso-based drinks. One shot of espresso equals one punch.
Utopia of the Seas Bars and Lounges
Utopia of the Seas features 23 bars and lounges. Out of these, 13 are listed in the Royal Caribbean app. The others are found in places like the Music Hall, specialty dining spots, or are exclusive to suite guests.
During a 4-day cruise, many guests explore as many bars as possible. Each bar provides a different atmosphere and a variety of drinks. Depending on your mood and location on the ship, you might prefer one bar over another.

The Pesky Parrot is a vibey, modern tiki bar serving up fruit based cocktails and frozen drinks. My favorite was the Painchiller which was a frozen version of the classic painkiller. If you’re looking for something on the rocks, try the Pretty Bird.

Location: Royal Promenade – Deck 5, midship
Bell & Barley is a British-themed pub located in the Royal Promenade. It offers a variety of beers, UK-inspired cocktails, and a good selection of spirits. The pub’s cozy, British pub atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in the UK. For added enjoyment, live musicians often perform here, providing some entertainment along with your drinks.
Boleros
Location: Deck 5, forward
If you’re looking for somewhere to dance all night long, Boleros is the place to be. This Latin themed bar features a live band playing a variety of hip shaking groves. Salsa or Samba your way over to the bar for a Cuban mojito or Brazilian caipirinha.
Cantina Fresca
Location: Deck 16, aft
Mezcals, Mexican beers, and margaritas rule the menu at Cantina Fresca. The pineapple jalapeño margarita is a perfect mix of sweet and spicy, but you also can’t go wrong with a classic strawberry marg. Cantina Fresca is right next to El Loco Fresh, so you can have yourself a little Mexican moment on deck 16.
Casino Bar
Location: Deck 4, Midship
The Casino Bar is situated in the Casino Royale area, perfect for those enjoying a game of chance. Whether you’re at the tables or the slots, the bar keeps you refreshed with a variety of mocktails and cocktails.

Schooner Bar is a classic piano bar offering live musical entertainment and fun trivia nights. Enjoy a variety of cocktails, spirits, beers, and wines. One standout drink is the Kentucky Summer, a refreshing bourbon-based cocktail with St-Germain liqueur, mango, lime juice, and mint.
Spotlight Karaoke

At Spotlight Karaoke, you can sing your heart out or watch others perform. It’s a lively spot for those who enjoy karaoke and entertainment.
The Lime & Coconut
Location: Deck 15, Midship
The Lime & Coconut is a vibrant, tropical-themed pool bar spread across three levels. On the first two levels, you can enjoy refreshing drinks like the Passion Spritz (Aperol, vodka, passion fruit syrup, lemon juice, and sparkling wine) or the signature Lime & Coconut (Malibu, coconut milk, coconut and guava syrup, and lime juice). Head to the third level rooftop sun deck for stunning views. Note: This bar spans two floors, so it’s counted as two separate venues among the 23 bars and lounges on board.
The Vue Bar
Location: Top Deck
The Vue Bar is the ideal spot to watch the sunset. Positioned on the top deck, it provides breathtaking panoramic views and a range of tasty cocktails. Try “The Perfect Vue,” a delightful blend of pink gin, Campari, orange juice, strawberry mix, and sparkling wine.
Trellis Bar

Trellis Bar, situated in the Central Park neighborhood, is perfect for pre-dinner drinks. Enjoy a drink or alcoholic shaved ice at Wipeout Bar while watching others attempt to ride the waves of the nearby FlowRider surf simulator. The strawberry and piña colada with toasted coconut rum is delicious!

If you want to relax or work out while at sea, head to the Vitality Spa and Fitness Center. The spa provides treatments like facials, massages, and manicures/pedicures. In the fitness area, you’ll find modern equipment and beautiful views to enjoy while you exercise. There are also workout classes, such as yoga and Pilates, available.
Pools and Hot Tubs on Utopia of the Seas
Utopia of the Seas has 8 hot tubs and 5 pools. On the top deck, you’ll find two resort-style pools with semi-submerged loungers so you can enjoy the water while staying partially dry. This area usually features DJs or music, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere.
For a more relaxing experience, visit the Solarium Pool. This pool is adults-only and offers a peaceful, serene environment.
Entertainment Onboard Utopia
Music Hall
If you enjoy live music, check out the Music Hall. Dance to cover bands playing popular hits, or relax in the lounge area with a drink from the bar. Pool tables are also available for some extra fun.
AquaTheater
The AquaTheater is unique to Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class ships. It features the deepest pool at sea and hosts the AQUA80Too show, which combines diving, dancing, and other exciting acts.
The Attic
The Attic is an intimate, adults-only comedy club. Enjoy a drink and some laughs in this cozy venue.
Boardwalk
The Boardwalk area is home to the carousel, Johnny Rockets, Playmakers, and the Dog House. It’s also where the Abyss slide ends.
Studio B
Studio B serves multiple purposes on Utopia of the Seas. It can be set up as a TV studio for game shows or transformed into an ice skating rink for performances and recreational skating.
Royal Theater
The Royal Theater hosts the All In Show, a highlight of Utopia’s entertainment. Although we missed it, we enjoyed a comedy show here and found it to be a great space. You can order drinks from waiters as you wait for your show to begin.
